RE: Does anyone drink Absinthe?
I think it needs to be pointed out that absinthe hasn't actually got any of those psychoactive properties. It has an undeservedly bad reputation, yet there hasn't been any actual proper research that shows it's any worse than other spirits.

It's true that some individuals historically went bonkers on absinthe, but that likely had more to do with the fact that they were drinking copious amounts of ethanol! Chug 70% booze six times a week and you'll be in pretty bad shape too.

RE: Does anyone drink Absinthe?
Today, Absinthe has NO psychoactive properties at all, in the past it had, but just a little, the stories of hallucinations are wildly exaggerated. It's an alcohol as any other, more or less.

One think that crossed my mind is if you are drinking it in a burning ritual, be careful not to let the flames in the glass burn for too long, because the edge of the glass can get too hot and you can burn your lips! This is important to remember.
