I do it all the time... I also do it when people ask me what the date is... As if that is going to assist me. I wore a watch for a phase in high school and that was about the end of it.

The thing is, I never wear watches, I never even use to wear watches, yet always without fail I will look at my wrist if I want to know the time or someone asks me, or hell even if I'm going somewhere. Basically anything relating to time/date.


I do something similar.

I check my phone. Even when I know I don't have my phone with me, I will still habitually try to pull my phone out of my pocket to check the time.
