Does anyone use the Buddy List thingy?
A follow up to Jenny's question. ( I'm to lazy to do a poll though Tongue )

Do any of you have someone on your Buddy List? And if you do, what the hell do you do with the Buddy List feature? Do you guys get together and have a virtual beer or something? Maybe pat each other on your virtual backs? Just wondering. Huh

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I don't use it, but I do use the ignore feature when someone starts stepping over the line.

RE: Does anyone use the Buddy List thingy?
I used to when I used to regularly talk to a couple people through PM but that doesn't really happen anymore so I stopped using it.

RE: Does anyone use the Buddy List thingy?
It doesn't seem to useful to me, so no, I don't send requests.

Don't get 'em, either, but I'm kinda used to that anyway.

On another forum, I've got lots on their version of it, but only used it when a non-"friend" started shitting up my visitor-message wall with his butthurt, so I limited that access to my friends list.

I've got very few friends I've met and/or contact through forums. I've got plenty whom I like, but "friends/buddies" seems more a popularity rating than anything useful.

RE: Does anyone use the Buddy List thingy?
I use it all the time.

At some point I noticed that the buddy list was a faster way to look up people. So I began using it to track people who joined the forum to stir trouble. I usually have 10 or so on it. I remove people who have either settled down, turned out to be ok, or they were banned.

When I mention, as I occasionally do, that someone has made my buddy list, it's not a good thing for them, because it means they're obvious enough to be on my radar.

I used the buddy list feature when I first joined to help keep track of the people I talked to most often. After I got to know people better I stopped using it.

RE: Does anyone use the Buddy List thingy?
I started adding people to it when I rep them so that I have a quick way to see everybody I've repped and if I look at a profile and it says "remove from buddy list" then I don't have to try to rep them to see if I already have.

I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there though.

I'd gladly use it if I had any friends. Weeping

Yeah, sure...

It's a " buddy" list.

Keep it up, and you're on it.
