I think it's also accepted that if Jesus did exist then He was born in 3 or 4 B.C. But, He definitely wasn't born in A.D.

How exactly is that possible? BC means before christ. If he did exist, then whatever year he was born is 1ad and anything before is BC.

The real question is how can the world be destroyed in 2036 if it's already going to end in 2012...

It's not like priests or monks, whatever, just took a guess on what year they though Christ was born or anything. I've been saying for years I expect a bunch of chaotic Christian second coming ideas to emerge from 2024-2030. People love the idea of round numbers.

RE: Doomsday 2036?
The chances of Apophis striking Earth in 2029 is about 2%. The chances of it hitting in 2036 is 1 in 250,000. Of objects not recently observed, there are 7 asteroids with a more notable Palermo Technical Impact Hazard Scale than Apophis. Imagine what the average person could do with a thing called research. It is a shame you have to go to college to learn how to conduct it properly.

The asteroid Apophis will approach Earth in 2029. The close proximity could cause it to hit Earth in 2036. Now let's do just enough math so the Creationists will understand.

Jesus, if he existed, was born in 0AD +/- 10 years. Let's say he was born in 6 AD. Then he was crucified at the age of 30. So... are the Creatards still following? 6+30+2000=2036!

Did I figure it out?Tongue

Has not Harold Camping been punished enough? Nah.

Leviticus does not justify stupidity, but it is more than enough to define corruption of the human mind.

Because the dating took place based on the wrong year. Later refinement of the calendar showed that the original set up of BC and AD was off by a couple of years.

The Christians are busy rewriting history. They'll get to the birth certificate in due time.

We have enough youth. How about looking for the Fountain of Smart?

RE: Doomsday 2036?
One of these days I am going to announce that God told me when the world is going to end, and that those that do as I say will not die along with everyone else...namely that instead of wasting your money buying my stupid books or videos, you must instead send money to animal charities and charities that look out for homeless and hungry children. When my prediction fails and the world doesn't end, one can at least say that humanity was left a little bit better off than before.

The Mormons must of done that.. to show how he is an American.. I think he was born in Missouri.

RE: Doomsday 2036?
They found out he was actually born in Kenya. His birth certificate was photo shopped.

The old gods are dead, let's invent some new ones before something really bad happens.
