It was basically a Mage tank that could wield weapons and heavy armor and was a better tank than a Warrior, but gave up their extra spells in order to become an auto-attack beast? That's the Knight Enchanter, except you still keep the versatility of actually being a Mage. The Knight Enchanter allows you to abuse the new Barrier system in the same way that the current sword & board characters can abuse Guard through the Vanguard tree to basically become invulnerable. I still have my basic staff attack, but now I also have a melee attack that is fast, powerful, hits a huge arc (AOE damage like the two-handed weapons), ignores both Guards and Barriers of your enemies, and the more damage you cause the more it regenerates your own Barrier.

It is OP as shit, and I love it.

Anyone ever do a full solo play as Arcane warrior? Was not easy but it was doable if you stacked death auras.

Haven't done a full solo play on any DA game.
Might have to on this one. Consider Does xp split across all characters or does everyone get the same. ie: If you kill something that grants 40xp and you have a party of 4, everyone will get 10xp where as if you were solo your character would gain 40xp?

Lol, did you try the female elf? (I was gonna say "or dwarf" but thought that might have been a tad mean Tongue )

I don't know what the exact split is, but my party members are always the same level as me or just behind. The Inquisitor always levels up first, but my party usually levels up soon after. Not only that, but other characters that I rarely use (Iron Bull, Cole) still level up as well, so that no one character will ever fall behind, but whoever is in the current active party seems to have a slight lead on XP.

Stupid elf. Not Gwynnies, but I don't hate her. Game sure is easier when ya know wtf you're doing. Only took one healing potion to get past that first asshole, my first party wiped like five times there. Tongue

Lv 14, Knight Enchanter & Spirit Mage. Basically, abusing Barriers for fun and profit.

Also, dragons scale up to your level. When I went back to take on the Lv.12 Dragon in the Hinterlands at Lv.14, that dragon was Lv.14 as well. So you'll never get a level advantage over them, but you can work yourself out of a level disadvantage against them.

RE: Dragon Age: Inquisition
What Dragon is that? Is that the one in the Western Approach? I'm like a third of the way through that area and I know there's that quest chain to kill a dragon.

Also, after lunch I'm so gonna kill that dragon in the Hinterlands, that loot looks tasty. Drooling

RE: Dragon Age: Inquisition
One Hinterlands Dragon dead. The key was definitely fire resistance belts, constant shield and cold damage.
Still, fucking Varric and Dorian (my new party is Varric, Dorian and Blackwall) kept getting blown the fuck up.
Luckily me (knight enchanter) and Blackwall (full tank) were both really solid hard to kill characters. Also well worth it to chuck a single point into spirit tree for Dorian to get barrier so he uses barrier whenever it's up. Helps keep barrier up constantly with me using it as well. Also good to keep moving when the Dragon is flying around.

Got some tasty tasty purples.
