Oh and it is Florida Man. What the hell did you expect.

Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.

The world left them behind, and they don't like owning up for their part in all of it.

Do you honestly think that being white, male, and American automatically gets one into some secret hidden level of privilege like in the old Eddie Murphy bit where he wore whiteface for a day? Hate to break it to you, but privilege and power aren't determined by skin color or gender they're determined by wealth. This guy isn't a Koch brother for fuck's sake, he's just a random drunken fool.

Sure, in the past one pretty much had to be all three of those things to get a seat at the table but the world has, as you note, left that behind. Looking down from the seats of power, the 1% sees only one type of person: exploitable and expendable.

Actually, power, athority and respect is determined by a multitude of factors like the social class of your parents, race, gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity, immigration status, level of urbanity, religious affiliation, mental and physical health, age and a host of more minor factors. The more you net positive on those factors (on which you have very little to no control mind you), the more likely you are to have power, respect and authority and in greater quantity than others. That guy had very few, but even more depressing, some people are in even worse position than that guy by virtue of not being men and white or a legal American citizen.

Freedom is servitude to justice and intellectual honesty.

Guns are not the problem, it has to be those pesky people (think concert goers) that keep getting in front of the bullets...yes, that must be it. Dodgy

Got 'em on CNN, now didn't it?

You mean the victims? Huh

Yeah, insult to injury. What surprised me was that he wasn't naked.

Yes. Yes it does.

See, this isn’t held up by studies done on the topic.
The only time I hear your argument is when it comes from someone who is a white Anglo-saxon male.

And yet the vast majority of the 1% are, you guessed it, “white”.
