E-smoking , better smoking ?
Hey guys , a question to the smokers (and non) out there.

Have you guys tried e-cigarettes ?
I tried one today and it was awesome compared to regulars. Much more smooth.
And from what I hear there's not tar content whatsoever so there's less strain on the lungs.
What do you think ?
Have you read any papers on the matter ?
Do you think it's better or worse ?
Huh

RE: E-smoking , better smoking ?
I tried it once. I didn't like the feel of the plastic on my lips.
Maybe if I try it a few times I could get used to it.
My problem is a nicotine addiction.
I have heard that some e-cigarettes don't contain nicotine.
Maybe some day I'll make the switch.

@observer
Only the smoker gets the nicotine and he/she exhales just water and glycol vapor. So you can use it on planes and trains (- as long as said company knows about it.)

@LittleOne
They DO contain nicotine.
The only difference is you can control the amount of nicotine.
So gradually you can reduce it down to zero rather than going cold turkey which is hard for any and all smokers.

@Cetaceaphile
Well from what I see they cost £39.95 on average. They don't seem to include the nicotine solution though.
You're actually lucky for being in the UK , you can easily get British made nicotine solutions which have a healthier compound rather than the "made in china" ones.
(they use glycol rather than Propylene glycol , which is less toxic and much safer on the body).
As for where to buy , I'm not sure. Just google up : "e-cigarette" (you can also find cigars or pipes)

Just be careful , there's no tar an you can't tell how strong it is - many people overdose at first by mistake.

RE: E-smoking , better smoking ?
Finland has weird laws on E-smokes. You can legally have 'em, but the nicotine capsules are illigal. So if you wan't nicotine you'll have to get real smokes, plaster or gum.

I think it would be great if E-cigarettes were widely used. If you live anywhere near central town or in a city, go outside and look down. What do you see? A sheetload of cigarette butts. Beaches are the worst; next time you're in a beach, count on how many cigarette butts you have to step on before reaching the water. They're not te only trash though, but I'd estimate them to be the most common trash. Health problems caused by smoking would also be alot lower if people would E-smoke.

Correct me when I'm wrong.
