Ebola panic!
I was just reading through the Ebola thread below. My god, lets all get in a damn panic! Jesus christ, you're more likely to be killed in a car accident than die from Ebola but I don't see people panicking over cars and being terrified to drive them.

People are very puzzling sometimes.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

One guy has it in NY. Let's check at the end of the day and see how many people have died in car accidents today.

Or murder, overdose, heart attack, suicide, ...

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Ebola has not "hit" New York City... One man, who returned from Africa has come down with the disease... He is in hospital, and four people he was in close contact with are in quarantine.

Others less at risk are being traced, and will be observed.

But even so, it is highly unlikely that anyone will have caught the virus from him.

Oh but, I'm willing to bet there's a tabloid out there with ^^exactly that^^ on it's front page. It's just too tempting. Wink

The missionary nurse, Nancy Writebol, who came down with Ebola and is now completely recovered and free of Ebola said people still don't want to get near her. It's crazy.

Well, this is it... Media scaremongering.

The SARS outbreak in Toronto was an example of a virus "hitting" a city. But that's a whole different virus, spread through the air, about as easy to catch as a cold, or flu.

Will USA Today do?

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/natio.../17786777/

I am not accountable to any God. I am accountable to myself - and not because I think I am God as some theists would try to assert - but because, no matter what actions I take, thoughts I think, or words I utter, I have to be able to live with myself.
