Haha! 3/10. I's not so keen on werdz. Tongue

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Think of it as an opportunity to learn. I challenge you to use any of the ten words on your next post Cool

while alcoholic drinks are often more damaging to your psychological and physical health than MJ, the 'murican government proscribed MJ and alowed booze to be produced, consumed, owned and distributed

I don't really like going outside.
It's too damn "peopley" out there....

Woot!
It turns out that during the prohibition era many law enforcement units used petards to enter blockaded mafia storage bunkers.

Yip, I Googled the first two words, then thought "I have better things to do than to look up obscure words that I will never use.

Language is about communication. If you use words that people don't understand then you aren't communicating, you are posturing instead.

I would say if you are using words the other person doesn't understand it may not be posturing, it might just mean that the other person doesn't know that word.

I like preciseness whenever possible and if the language already has a word to get your point across more readily then why not use it? Having a large mental lexicon can only help get a point across.

6 out of 10 first try.

Actually, not technically the first try, since it froze half-way through and I had to restart, but I duplicated my answers regardless of whether they were right or wrong up to that point.

I wasn't really paying attention and I read the first few wrong.
(I read effulgence as effluence among other errors...)

Oh, well.

In my job as an IT Architect I have different audiences that I communicate with.
Business users
Business managers
Technical specialists etc

I endeavor to tailor my communications to suit my audience.
I never assume my audience is a human thesaurus, but to each their own.

Some people love language and words, it's just not my thing.

Are you thinking of doing a TOGAF quiz to see how everyone else performs?

I'd give it a try.
