Rainbow Evangelists claim to have found Noah's Ark
Source here: http://www.smh.com.au/world/evangelists-...-tnlg.html

So these Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers claim to have found evidence of Noah's Ark on Mt. Ararat because they found "wood specimens." They claim to be 99.9% certain on the matter and say that carbon dating has shown the specimens to be around 4800 years old, which is when they believe the ark to have been afloat.

Huh

This mainsteam news website refutes the claim with logic. http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/201...ot-so-fast

This is not the first claim, nor the first search for the ark.

RE: Evangelists claim to have found Noah's Ark
Would they have used the same carbon dating that they say proves nothing and is false?
Or do they have their own?
And let’s say, just for fun, that the age is right then that’s really great but so what?
If I have a piece of concrete from Germany from the late forties it’s not proof of the Berlin wall.

"There is an Ark, let's find facts to support that conclusion!"

"Is there an Ark, what do the facts say?"

One of those works, one doesn't.

Of course there's an Ark! Aren't they building it in Kentucky? Aren't we all paying for it? Big Grin

As a simple evolutionist, I do not "worship" intelligence... some days, I imagine being "Evolution." Scratching my head, going... hmmn, intelligence? Non-beneficial mutation... what's next? Big Grin

Yeah, isn't that just ironic... When intelligent people talk about carbon dating the zealots say it's not reliable...until it supports their claims.

Bwahahahaha, they have CARBON DATED this to be 4800 years old. Creationists using carbon dating! Hahahahaha, hilarious, so if they believe these results, give them anything older than 7000 years and let them explain that "phenomenon" then.

What a bunch of idiots.

There, nothing was ever there in the surrounding area, no people ever lived there, so the Ark is the only explanation. There was no sign of ancestor or animal spirit worshiping around that area...

Here is what AnswersinGenesis says about this discovery:

The information in ancient libraries came from real minds of real people. The far more complex information in cells came from the far more intelligent mind of God.

I can't take anyone seriously that says "As a scientist I am always cautious and somewhat skeptical of bold and spectacular claims, especially when made in defense of the Bible"

And then goes on to say "the Flood was responsible for producing, in about one year, the bulk of the fossil record preserved in the earth’s surface sedimentary rock layers, conventionally dated by secular geologists as being up to 540 or more million years old. "

If this man is as he claims a scientist he's very deluded.

That answers in genesis website portrays bs and pseudoscientific nonsense as fact and is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Behold the power of the force!

Poor creationists. Undecided

But hey, ignorance is bliss, let them be as long as they don't kill anyone.
