No, although he has made one or two mildly anti-semitic comments -- the usual christian fundy stuff. He's basically one of these people who gets all his ideas from apologetic websites, thinks the Christian bible is hot shit, but doesn't appear to have actually read any of it. Not very interesting. But some of the replies are interesting. And Banjo has posted some great photos.

ETA: Also, he doesn't appear to be familiar with sentences, punctuation, or upper case letters. In my opinion, the effort to figure out what the hell he is saying hasn't been worth it.

Agreed. I also think he is a child.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

Maybe. It sounds to me more like a young teen who has been brought up in a Christian cocoon and spoon-fed this pablum as far back as they can remember. There is no evidence of critical thinking skills or any exposure to ideas that conflict with the claims of the religion. It is really sad.

we've been through them and all you do is hand-wave away the text or cite apologists who say that what the bible literally says is not what it means. If your god can create the universe and wanted his rules and character recorded but couldn't be arsed to get it clear then fuck him.

a broken link to a non-science site that doesn't support your position... why am I not surprised?

Quote:and i believe theres no reason to go to war at all, do you agree.

No, I don't. War should be far down the list of options but there can be times when you can't reason with people. See this thread for example.

Quote:i think the war in iraq was an atrocity and by ignorance we are blindsided to the fact that we caused muslims to attack us.

So you disagree with your scriptures which repeatedly promote war. Interesting. Most Christians are more moral than their god when they actually think for themselves. That's a good start. Now put down the ancient book of fairy tales and keep it up.

In the meantime, please stop trying to change the subject. If you believe your god exists and you think we should believe it too then you need to provide demonstrable, testable evidence for your claim.

Yeah I'm getting that too. I want to guess 13-15.

Lazy writing, and lacking of ability interact properly in conversation would suggest, that he's from the younger generation.

Ether that. Or he's an elderly man that just learned how to turn on the computer for the first time.

Just out of curiosity... in Exodus 9 the fifth plague is described "And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one".

A few verses later we're up to the seventh plague and the pharaoh is warned "Send therefore now, [and] gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; [for upon] every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die."

Why did they have to gather the cattle that were already dead? There hasn't been time to replace them...

By the way, verse 12 there says "And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses." Before you start with the "pharoah hardened his own heart" nonsense go back to the beginning of Exodus 7 where your beloved god character specifically stated that he would prevent the pharaoh from relenting in order that he could show off: "And the LORD said unto Moses, ... And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt."

Exodus 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 7:13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Exodus 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Exodus 10:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:

Exodus 10:20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

Exodus 10:27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

Exodus 11:10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Exodus 14:4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

Eight direct proclamations that YHWH hardened Pharoah's heart, yet he asserts that we are the ones that don't understand the bible. Facepalm

Can anyone translate this? I'm just not familiar enough with the NT to connect the dots here.

Are you going to at least admit, with eight biblical references to god saying he hardened Pharoah's heart, that it was god that hardened Pharoah's heart?
