Are you sure those are from the bible? They sound more like they came from Evidence That God Created You Worthless.

@DonaldTrump, Patriotism is not honoring your flag no matter what your country/leader does. It's doing whatever it takes to make your country the best it can be as long as its not violent.

Now why on earth would I want to be a Christian, Echo? It's an immoral and absurd belief system that bears no relation to reality, and the only claim I ever had to it was that My parental units had some guy with a clerical collar sprinkle water on My head (without My consent, I might add) when I was only 3 months old and not big enough to retaliate.

I've read the Bible but never believed it. I've known of the Bible now for well over 50 years since first reading it, and it's still a silly-ass piece of trash:
  • A flood that never happened, and a homemade wooden boat that could carry samples of all animals in the world and stay afloat while being pummeled with rain for 40 days at the rate of 30 feet per hour, with a terminal water depth on day 40 of 29,000+ feet (over the peak of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on the planet).
  • An exodus from Egypt that never happened, including the murder of all Egypt's firstborn because the god of the Bible decided to subvert Pharaoh's free will and "harden his heart," preventing him from letting the Israelites just leave peacefully before the last plague had been inflicted on the Egyptian population. Oddly enough, after working some preposterous magic involving drowning an entire army (an event not chronicled in Egyptian history, which is odd in itself), Moses proceeded to get the rescued Israelites lost for 40 years in an area so small they should have been able to walk across it in less than 3 weeks.
  • Oh yes, and a Talking Snake™, too.
Those are just a few of the egregiously stupid things in the Bible, and that's just from the first 2 books. By the time the whole sorry mess comes clanging to a heaving, shuddering full stop at the end of Revelation, it becomes apparent that the Bible is just mythology that someone took much too seriously.

And if you actually literally believe this stuff, that's sad. Very sad indeed. Grow the fuck up before you waste any more of your life on this crap.

Regards,

An agnostic goddess who's old enough to be your granny, and has the knitting needles to prove it.

Another funny thing is that during those 40 years that the Israelites spent lost in the desert, Moses' father-in-law had no trouble at all finding them to pay a visit. It's kind of like being lost in Antarctica and having a pizza delivered.

Another plot hole in the story. LOL.

You're obviously unaware that quoting scripture directly from your bible is considered totally worthless as a debating tool on any/all atheist sites? The Abrahamic bible is nothing more than a collection of mythology and superstitious ramblings cobbled together by a disparate group of ill-educated desert nomads 2,500 years ago.

Obviously it can't be used as evidence for an argument in a scientifically-enlightened 21st century. You need facts, not fantasy.

And don't forget Balaam's donkey. Big Grin

Numbers 22:28 says "the Lord opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?"

Then Balaam and the donkey proceeded to have a conversation about the situation, with Balaam angrily berating the donkey for straying off the road—as only the donkey could see the sword-wielding angel barring the way.

RE: Everybodies wrong.
im sorry christians dont have faith these days but it does say your sons and daughters in the last days will dream dreams, i think there was a pause on spirituality though you can try tarot cards or invoking see if that works it has for me. faith is so you dont jump on the bandwagon miracles follow the believer if you want to have spiritual experiences you have to believe thats how it works. and we still are waiting for spiritual stuff to happen like the coming of elija or the third temple to be built so god can reside there. and ive beaten you in showing that god didnt order to kill everybody except the virgins that was moses, noah was trying to tell everybody but nobody listened. you just putting verses not reading the whole thing plus theres nothing bad about those verses. and they were lost they just couldnt go into the promise land. and pharoah was already going to harden his heart, free slavery with a grudge especially the grudge i think the bible has.
