RE: Everybodies wrong.
If there are no zombies, why do we have so many zombie movies ?

Gods are a colorful fiction.
Jesus - a guy who comes back from the dead and becomes a zombie.

You have to go through the zombie to get to safety.
"The only way to heaven is through me."

Jesus wants to eat your brains.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

No sign will be given till the antichrist start showing signs you can't just jump on the band wagon or you'll go for anything. Signs don't prove that that's god. Bones to the nephilim. https://www.google.com/search?q=giant+bo...=615&dpr=2 https://www.google.com/search?q=giant+bo...=615&dpr=2

That's not evidence for the Exodus! That's evidence for one particular Egyptian Pharaoh. It doesn't prove that the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. It doesn't prove any of the plagues or the parting of the Red Sea.

There is a logical fallacy at play here, specifically fallacy of composition. Even if one thing in the Exodus fable is true, it doesn't make everything automatically true -- each and every one of the supernatural claims requires supporting evidence.

RE: Everybodies wrong.
Hoooo, boy... he gives this article as his evidence for the Exodus?

Dr. Aardsma's (mid-1990s) work moves the timeline for the Exodus back 1000 years from the traditional "Ussher" dates (those based on the Begats chronology), since Aardsma recognized that there were plenty of records that showed the story could not have happened as claimed in the Bible story-- for reasons I have already tried to explain to you, in this thread. Kudos to him for admitting the Bible story could not have happened as written, but he then compounded the problem by essentially picking a date with fewer available records, a millennium before.

The problem is that he has been roundly criticized by both serious and evangelical (non-serious, phony) scholars on almost every ground, as moving the timeline for the Exodus creates at least as many problems for the story as it solves. For instance, the book of Exodus states that the Israelites are slaves building the City of Ramses. From Egyptian records, we know that this city was built by his successor, Ramses II, between 1279 and 1213 BCE. Prior to that, the existence of a city with that name is not plausible - the first pharaoh with such a name came to the throne only in 1320 BCE.

It is clear that the people who wrote the story of the Exodus and the "conquest" of Canaan did not have access to the Egyptian records that modern scholars do. There are similar issues with the Jericho story not fitting the evidence in the time suggested, which others (especially Woods) have tried to solve by moving the timeline back a millennium, and been roundly met with proper criticism by scholars... not the least of which reason is that it requires us to insert SOMETHING into the now-missing 1000 years between the books of Moses/Joshua and the events of Samuel/Kings.

Socialist, you really should stop trying to blame us for your failure to understand, for your willingness to grasp at straws to just believe what you want to believe. Learn the material for yourself if you're really interested in it-- it's fascinating!

But don't come in here among a group of people who really do know this stuff and try to tell us that the sky is purple. We know it's blue. M'kay?

"Theology made no provision for evolution. The biblical authors had missed the most important revelation of all! Could it be that they were not really privy to the thoughts of God?" - E. O. Wilson

Evidence for exodus.

I find it very telling that the guy that wrote that doesn't mention who followed Pepi II, that would be his son, you know, the son who would have been allegedly killed by the last plague?

What's bizarre is the entire Exodus myth fails to mention this alleged Pharaoh's name, that fact alone, raises a huge red flag about the mythical nature of Exodus.

Leave it to someone in The Encyclopedia of American Loons, Gerald Aardsma to try to salvage the bible from it's ridiculous claims.
