And the new testament is advanced by having a peaceful movement involved. Also quantom physict is already proving a spiritual realm.

The bible says that in the last days people will have visions, were still waiting for elijah to come and the building of the third temple in the last days. Its like evolution it hasn't happened and n our life time but you still believe it.

Do some miracles and stuff for us! I know correct spelling and punctuation would sure seem like on after seeing your posts.

Did you mean"like one" rather than " like on " ? The words people, glasshouses and stones kinda spring to mind Tongue. But yes, lets see some miracles socialistview.

No, it isn't! Quantum physics pertains to the behaviour of subatomic particles and has nothing whatsoever to do with spirituality.

Well, who cares about quantum physics? I want to hear more about quantom physict.

RE: Everybodies wrong.
This kind of falls into the same bullshit as the woo peddlers using quantum for everything.

Today on Facebook, an article title reads "Science proves that humans can absorb energy from other humans in their vicinity."

Stupidly, I click on the click bait and actually read a fascinating article about a certain type of algae that can break down the cellulose of neighboring vegetation to use it as an energy source. Basically cannibal algae.

Nothing in the article about humans doing anything, but everyone who read the title and shared the article probably all thought it was true, which it is, just not in the way they meant.

They were trying to say that a person's "energy" or aura could effect the people around them through touch or just being in the same room, as if they were radioactive or something.

People absorb energy from others when they bump into them. They absorb light reflected off someone's skin or when a punch lands on their jaw.

This deceptive woo shit kinda pisses me off.
But I have yet to decide who I'm more angry with, the woo peddlers or the gullible public.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

RE: Everybodies wrong.
Is so dishonest the way those theists make their case, its been like this for centuries:

Scientists: Hey guys, good news, we now know how "thing X" works!

Theists: "Thing X" PROVES GOD!!!!! YAAAAYYY!!!

Scientists: err, I don't think it does, no...

Theists: OFC IT DOES!! YAY!!!

It was like that for big bang, now quantum physics:

That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.”

You know quatum theory hasn't even come close to figuring anything and your trying to deny it before we gain information. Why can't you believe that mabe there's a life beyond the dead.

Maybe there is a life beyond the dead. Maybe there's "something" "out there" in some dimension beyond what our 11-dimensional space-time minds can detect (especially since we only really pick up four of them). Who can say?

But that's where it ends: WHO CAN SAY?

Not me. Not you. And certainly not a bunch of barbaric, misogynistic, slave-owning, Patriarchal warrior-sheepherders from one small group of desert tribes in the Bronze Age who didn't even understand genetics or know that the earth was a spinning sphere.

I'm perfectly willing to accept that we don't know everything, but that doesn't mean we don't know anything. Your religion's founders made several testable predictions that are clearly at absolute odds with what we do know, now. They were ignorant, and they filled in the blanks with mystical ideas that are demonstrably wrong. Almost literally everything I have seen you say in here can easily be shown to be wildly incorrect.

That you continue to accept those Bronze Age mystical guesses as reality, even when we patiently try to show you that you are demonstrably incorrect, time and time again, should bother you. It certainly would bother me.

Edit to Add: I should also point out that, though they cling to some degree of mystical belief, both the majority of the Jewish people, who wrote the book upon which your religion rests, AND the majority of Christians (outside the USA, anyway) have come to accept that the world is much more ancient than those ancestors realized, that evolution really happened, and that your particular religious views are an embarrassment to anyone who actually has studied the scriptures. That should be as much of a wake-up call as the replies you're getting from the atheist community.

"Theology made no provision for evolution. The biblical authors had missed the most important revelation of all! Could it be that they were not really privy to the thoughts of God?" - E. O. Wilson

If you actually read up they weren't misogynist than what you hear, its only in the new testament do you see things like that pop up and there were both sins women and men had to abide by without looking bad. What failed predictions did they make and it says just becuase the people were bad doesn't make god bad. I don't think god accepted anything the jews did shownby him punishing them all the time.

...except transistors, lasers, and a few other very useful things. If it wasn't for quantum mechanics, you wouldn't have a computer right now.

Quote:and your trying to deny it before we gain information. Why can't you believe that mabe there's a life beyond the dead.

Because life in any meaningful sense requires sentience and consciousness, both of which require a living brain capable of generating awake-phase brainwaves.

Think about it, Socialistview: Every night when you go to sleep, there are long periods when you are unconscious and not dreaming. Your body is alive, but you are totally unaware of who you are. If we actually have "souls" that can survive death, why are we unaware of ourselves in deep sleep, and what makes you think the "soul" will do any better after the brain has died?

No, life after death is just wishful thinking.
