No, I do not believe in ghosts. Not at all.

I have had brushes with death on three separate occasions:
  • Almost fell 1400 feet to My death, circa 1968, when climbing a mountain.
  • Almost stepped off a curb into the path of an oncoming truck running a red light, but hesitated just long enough for it to harmlessly pass by (probably glimpsed it in My peripheral vision).
  • Ex-spouse threatened a murder-suicide and I had to get Myself and My daughter to safety on very short notice -- leaving behind a house that I had just finished paying off in full, and then losing half the market value of the house in the divorce settlement and having to start all over again.
I assure you that none of these things made Me into a believer in your god. I did come to realize, though, that if I paid close attention to warning signs and trusted in My own strength, I could safely get through potentially lethal situations.

I am no stranger to death. In the past year and a half alone I've lost My mother, an aunt, and a friend from the local band community. I have literally placed the ashes of both My parents and My aunt in the cemetery plot. This year I also lost the last three of My Dark Legion of cats. I accept death fully as a necessary part of life.

I also think that you are pretty fucking rude, kid, to accuse total strangers of being spoiled. You're an ignorant and near-illiterate little brat who's almost certainly lying about going to college and in all probability hasn't even graduated from junior high. You're so utterly incompetent at expressing yourself that the real world would eat you alive. If your numeracy is as bad as your English, you won't even be able to hold down a job in a fast food joint because you'd keep screwing up the customers' change.

You are a very good reason to not become a Christian, because all it's done for you is fuck up your morality and cause you to believe stupid things.

So you expect me to throw away some parts I don't agree with and other parts I do keep. And I'm 26 and have an associates of science degree.

Ah, I see your English has magically improved. (raises eyebrow) Or do you have someone else doing the writing for you now?

What we expect is a little bit more critical thinking and a little bit less "holier and wiser than thou" sass. We have reasons for not accepting the Bible as written, and you would do well to consider that.

RE: Everybodies wrong.
But I keep telling you the people were evil a book didn't have to put all that stuff in there even in hindu they cut off the hands of people mabe god himself wouldn't have done anything like that and he came himself to show that. Ghandi went opposite of Hinduism and janism was around so they would have gotten understanding from that and not put stuff like that in. Jesus did meet sadhertha gatama.

Flap flap squawk fweep! Jesus is his Holy Name!

You are confused and illogical. Associate of science degree eh? My God, you must know exactly what you're talking about Rolleyes You think none of us have degrees? What are we supposed to do? Bow down?

Is there a single one of you toss-pot evangelists who can actually make a reasoned argument? I'll go with "no" because if there were, why the fuck are even the most famous such fucking lunatics? CS Lewis. Ken Ham. William Lane Craig. Billy Graham. Lee Strobel. Name me one Christian pastor / televangelist / evangelist / author who's any fucking use?

We'll love you just the way you are

Well, that shining moment of coherent writing deescalated quickly... Laugh out load Youth pastor or other slightly more literate friend must've stopped texting socialistview and gone to bed.

You weren't there. You don't know that for sure. The Bible isn't a history book, you know.

Nope. Siddhartha Gautama supposedly lived 567-484 BCE and Jesus was supposedly born about 500 years later.

Hey, look at that! People who know nothing about Buddhism are trying to use it to justify their own biases!

Not impressed. Drinking Beverage

Also, can't you do more than just rattle off links that agree with your presumptions bullshit? If I wanted to go around debunking random web pages that look like there were cobbled together by GeoCities in the late 90's, I can already use Google on my own, thanks.
