Evidence of Evolution
What evidence of evolution do we have inside us?

I can think of:

Goosebumps - evidence we were covered in fur/hair
Coccyx - evidence of the tail we once had

Unsure...

Appendix - function unknown (?) One theory is that the appendix acts as a storehouse for good bacteria, other experts believe the appendix is just a useless remnant from our evolutionary past

RE: Evidence of Evolution
Bizarre internal wiring, with things taking massive unnecessary detours around our body rather than just connecting up directly. This suggests an iterative, unintelligent process.

Fight/flight instinctive reactions, from when this was crucial to our ancestors.

DNA (we're 95%+ similar to chimps, I forget the exact figure).

Groups of humans in different climates have different attributes suited to those environments.

Wisdom teeth?

I have a website here which discusses the issues and terminology surrounding religion and atheism. It's hopefully user friendly to all.

SeaJay - Everything you could possibly want to know is in Neil Shubin's Your Inner Fish.

It's a delightful book. The link above is the PDF of the book; read it free online.

Also interesting, below, are the slides he used for lectures he gave about the book.

(Edit to Add: But Bucky's right; the real clincher is DNA. No question at all in that arena, thanks to patterns of inheritance that work for species kinship just as well as they identify "You ARE The Father!")

Endogenous retroviruses

Chromosome 2 fusion

And then there's the fact that we can observe evolution; changes in gene frequency over time in populations.

Homology, our immune system, our teeth, as Rob mentions the Goldbergesque layout of some of our systems (retinae behind the blood vessels? This is Intelligent Design?!) ... Also, check out TalkOrigins.org.

I second this recommendation, it's a fantastic book.
