Evil atheists suing pizza joint?
According to an article on fox news http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/08/2...digestion/ The atheist organization Freedom From Religion Foundation is suing the owner of a small pizza parlor. The owner happens to be a pastor who uses the restaurant to promote his religion. Apparently he's offering discounts to people who bring in church bulletins. Reading the comments however the whole story may be in error as apparently FFRF has nothing on their website about suing and I guess they usually announce this. So should this guy be sued if he's not? What do you think about the discount?

As long as he doesn't refuse to serve gays, atheists or other categories of "sinners" I'm perfectly fine with him giving discounts to whomever he pleases. It's his money, after all.

A local grocery store gives 15% off their grocery purchase each Wednesday.

Should they be forced to stop because some of their shoppers are under 55?

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

It's a form of discrimination. Giving a discount to one group while excluding another.

Should they be sued? No.
Should they stop doing it? Edit: It depends

Can you imagine how shitty pizza would be in Arkansas?

There is actually a fairly big swell of fast food consumption after a night time "youth" church service. Many teenagers will pile into cars and head down to Maccas or the like. I can understand someone wanting to cash in on that and encourage it.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

RE: Evil atheists suing pizza joint?
Some years ago my son drove from Denver back to NY. He mentioned that he stopped in Iowa for dinner and ordered chicken parm. It was awful. Basically a frozen chicken patty with tomato soup and a piece of white American cheese on it.

I told him that, aside from Chicago, to never, ever, order Italian food anywhere west of Jersey City and east of San Francisco.
