Just a number not a name
And you don't see it
You don't believe it
At the end of the day
You're a needle in the hay
You signed and sealed it
And now you gotta deal with it

Baghdad

I remember the first time I stepped outside for a cigarrete at 5 in the morning and heard some weird, inaudible sounds playing all over the city. I had studied Islam and the Arabic culture as much as possible for two years before going to Iraq and was still surprised. It was at that moment that I told myself that year would not be a fun one. And it wasn't. Between the Coptic church being taken hostage, multiple suicide bombings, and the Bayji Oil Field fires, I was more than happy to leave.

Welcome! I'd keep my ass covered with a prayer rug if I were you, but that's just me. Again, Welcome!

Glad you are able to be with us Alastor. Stay safe.

Welcome to the forum. Smile
