RE: Fallout 4: The Survivor 2299
I've spent most of my 16 hour playtime just building settlements. I wish there were more pieces, and ways to angle walls and fences for slopes, or to connect at angles other than horizontal 90°

I'm level 18 and hardly explored a quarter of the map.. Maybe killed 40 bandits. Most of the leveling is from settlement building.

30 hours in 3 days ><
What is this outside you speak of?

I'm with WeAreTheCosmos though, most of my time has been spent building walls around Sanctuary and buildings (building two big towers that are gonna be connected by a bridge.).

Quote:Oh yeah, where did all the skills go?

I like that they tried something different. The leveling system pretty much hasn't changed since the original game.
It's just weird. I think it's better for some things such as lockpicking (because having 49 lockpicking was no different from having 25) but other things not so much (such as sneaking, barter and weapon damage).

I dunno how I feel about it. I can't make my mind up if I prefer it or want the original system back.

The weapon/armor mod/upgrade system is great. Easy to learn. The variety of enemies is great and I like the addition of legendary monsters that drop unique loot. Don't like the new Deathclaws though, too big and muscular. I prefer the lanky, quick, sharp claws, devilish looking ones from 3 and NV. They just look like generic video game monsters now. Love the 'zombie' gouls. (though the glowing ones are hard as fuck). Don't like the suicide super mutants. You can see them coming and they just explode of Dogmeat and leave me completely unharmed. Couldn't care less about the dog, he's just a bullet sponge and baggage brahmin. Love Codsworth and other robots like him such as Mrs White. Love the settlement system though my flatmate did bring up a good point asking what's the point of it. Though I countered by saying I'm put in like 15 hours into that settlement system, I guess that's the point?? Maybe it becomes more important further along the story I dunno. Love the map. So detailed and there's no huge boring open spaces like there is in NV and 3. The cities are especially very nice. Lots of back alleys and stuff. Don't like Travis, the Diamond City radio DJ. Bring back Galaxy Radio. Do like the music, very Fallout type music. Like the two headed deer. Don't like it when a 2 headed buck kicks my ass though. Shit I got up to take a piss and now I forgot what I was gonna type. Oh well, back into it I guess.

That was a Xbox One thing. If you pre-ordered on the Xbox Marketplace, you would get a digital Xbox 360 copy of Fallout 3 (no DLC), that would be accessible only after Microsoft rolled out their 360 backwards compatibility program outside of Beta testing.

Side Note: The reason Fallout 4 didn't release with the current consoles like TES:Morrowind did with the original Xbox and TES:Oblivion did with the 360/PS3, is because Bethesda spent the extra time learning the consoles. What did they do in that time? They ported over TES:Skyrim into their upgraded engine and had it running on the new consoles. Will that updated port ever see the light of day with a retail release? We don't know.

I got fallout 3 with my game btw.

Always so pumped to find a desk fan, couldn't care less that a highly modified assault rifle is sitting on the desk next to it.

I know people will make mods of everything, but really now?
