There's an old George Carlin joke that went.

That banana deal is hilarious. So, God designed the banana to fit mans hand? That's some crazy shiznit, haha.

Especially hilarious (and ignorant) because that banana was created by man by selective breeding. Facepalm

Interesting, is that the "original" banana?

That's what we started with.

Humans bred cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, chinese cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, and turnips from the same plant.

Even the food that vegans and the organic/natural crowd consume is. Yes

"It's just a theory!"

Okay, well, so is Germ Theory. So why bother washing your hands all the time? Tongue

Like I said in a YouTube comment once, a creationist dismissing evolution because it's just a "theory" is like a baseball player observing a bowling match and then insisting that the winner actually lost because he/she got so many "strikes."

Or, in the immortal words of Iñigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

The only sacred truth in science is that there are no sacred truths. – Carl Sagan

Still, I can charge an extra dollar by spending pennies on printing the word organic on the package. Despite the fact that food for animals is organic by definition.

Whenever we go shopping (it's usually one other family member and me), we always laughingly comment that we'd like the INorganic bananas. Since we all have some Chemistry study under our brows, it amuses us. I understand what "organic" is meant to say, but it falls pretty much flat with our family. We know the difference between standard stoichiometric and organic chemistry.
