RE: Favorite Board Games
Real men play Risktego... Not hardcore enough to know what that is? Basically you play Risk except for every invasion you play a full game of Stratego.

RE: Favorite Board Games
Chess, Battleship and Risk are my favorites.

Chess because I love to try and figure out what my opponent is thinking.
Battleship because I love to try and predict where he may have put em.
Risk because I love to pretend Norway took over the world.

Chess, Battleships, Sudoku & Bingo. OK the latter two aren't board games but I enjoy playing them when I'm bored.

I have to give a shout-out to Thud. Great game. Deceptively simple play hides a huge level of strategic depth. Terry Pratchett is a great game designer in addition to being a fantastic writer.

"Owl," said Rabbit shortly, "you and I have brains. The others have fluff. If there is any thinking to be done in this Forest - and when I say thinking I mean thinking - you and I must do it."

I'd say RISK, Axis & Allies, Catan, Telestrations, and Munchkin.

Of all the ideas put forth by science, it is the principle of Superposition that can undo any power of the gods. For the accumulation of smaller actions has the ability to create, destroy, and move the world.

RE: Favorite Board Games
Monopoly is a tool of the devil. No board game has ever pissed me off more.

But yea, Risk ftw. Scrabble's always fun too.. as long as you're winning.
