If I had to choose just one it would be Jazz.

I like way too many styles to list.

RE: Favorite Music Genera?
It's hard to say I have a favorite music genre, though I typically listen to electronic the most. I listen to everything from rock, orchestral, alternative, metal, acoustic, funk, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, pop, punk to dubstep, electro, complextro, house, chillout, downtempo, drum n bass, and all the in betweens.

Except country. I fucking hate country.

My 3 favorite artists are all electronic though.

Nero (FUCKING EPIC SYMPHONY YO):

Xilent:

Metrik:

Here is a taste of what I make.

Why do so many men of respectable age and education listen to baroque music? I've met a few professors and it seems almost a requirement to get the degree. I do enjoy some few pieces by Bach, Pachelbel or Ravel (not baroque, I know), but it's just because they're in D minor. What is it in baroque that you go after?

I go after the melancholic and psychedelic.

Ravel was modern, an Impressionist, nothing like the Baroque composers.

'Baroque' covers a range of styles and composers, but it significantly refers to an enormous advance in musical technology and compositional intricacy. Early Baroque (Gabrieli, Monteverde) is significantly different from Late (Bach, Handel, Telemann).

Some of my favorites are from the Middle period, Corelli and Purcell.

The music is beautifully structured, often cerebral.

As for 'respectable age', I have been listening to Baroque music since I was a lad. It's not so much age that is the common theme, but intelligence.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

How about because they like it? And because it is good? Consider

Im into almost every genre but If I had to pick one then I would say It would have to be Jungle.

I dont listen to it nearly as much as I did growing up but I will forever be a "jungleist" at heart.
