Why do you want to know?

Are you keeping files on us?

What do you plan to do with the data?

RE: Favorite Music Genera?
I join the interrogation, why would you want to know? Firstly, music is very individual and it's not likely to like someone else's music. Unless you're a mainstream guy and then you don't need to ask. Secondly, music is very individual and tells you way too much about the other person's personality.

I like my music weird and slightly broken, reminds me of myself.
Genre: Psychedelic.
Subgenre: psychedelic ambient, chillout, dub, trance.
Or was it the other way around? Anyway, I don't have a favorite band, I have favorite sound engineers who get together and form various bands. But one of them is Shpongle and from there you can find most of them.

RE: Favorite Music Genera?
My musical taste(s) pretty much cover the board, but overall, I prefer dark, atmospheric and intense music.

Industrial: I don't have much experience in the genre of industrial music, but I do know that I like "Dawn Of Ashes".

Industrial Metal: Definitely "Ministry", the kings of industrial metal, and of course "Static-X" (their earlier albums).

Death Metal: "Six Feet Under", "Ex Deo", "Behemoth" (though a more acccurate genre for them would be "Blackened Death Metal"), "Fear Factory", "Gojira", "Dethklok".

Black Metal: "Gorgoroth", "Dimmu Borgir", "Lunar Aurora", "God Seed", "Immortal", "Abigail Williams", a bunch of other obscure ones.

Deathcore: "Suicide Silence", "Bleeding Through", "Emmure", "Chelsea Grin", "Psyopus", "Whitechapel".

Goregrind: "Vulvectomy", "Malodorous", "Necroptic", "Torsofuck". (It's an odd genre, but I love it. lol)

Goth/Doom Metal: "Moonspell", "Draconian", "Type O Negative".

"Nu"Metal: "Korn", "Coal Chamber".

Extreme Metal: "Devildriver", "Strapping Young Lad".

Misc.: (I don't really have a primary genre for any of these) "Anaal Nathrakh", "Otep", "Amorphis", "The Birthday Massacre", "Cradle of Filth", "Disturbed", "Ghost", "Graveworm", "Mastodon", "Meshuggah", "Mushroomhead", "Slipknot", "OSI", "Rammstein", "Rob Zombie", "Sepultura", "Therion", "Wormed", "Finntroll".

Of course, I've placed these bands in these genres very loosely. Only a handful of them can be labeled 100% in a specific genre; the majority have qualities which transcend many other genres (sometimes simultaniously). Personally, I don't care about genres. I just like what gives me an ear-boner. (Tee-hee) I listen to everything from the things I've listed above; to early Ice Cube; to Lady Gaga; to Stevie Nicks; to The Mamas & The Papas.

Of course, while my ears may wander, my heart belongs to all that is pummeling and screaming.

Through profound pain comes profound knowledge.

Hey Misantropik. What do you think about CAI 777? Their first two albums are my favorite. Very dark, atmospheric and intense, dark ambient/industrial music and some evil poetry. Lots of Lovecraft and Baudelaire. There's ocassionally some pummeling and screaming as well.
My favorite song is Kaaba , but they've got faster, harder and darker stuff too.

As some porn enthusiast said, if in doubt, go for something German Big Grin

I go for baroque.
