Judging from my experiences at the ocean, it usually just smells like dead and rotting fish.

No,i defo hate vanilla smell.
I like a cinamonny smell,and a faint anise

That one is more complicated for me. I do like the smell of some things baked with vanilla. I do not like artificial fragrances that try to smell like vanilla. But, I don't like any artificial fragrances, so maybe it's that.

You must be hanging around the wrong ocean. Come to California for a visit. We have some very nice beaches on the Pacific.

Yeah, I'm on the wrong coast, apparently. ^_^

I'm not a huge fan of vanilla. I like minty stuff, and cloves, though.

I like chlorophylly aromas, like wheat grass juice and mowed grass. I also like incensey/resiny aromas like myrrh, benzoin, and copal.

All of my clients like really sweet smells, so that's what I have to use a lot. Tongue
