RE: Favorite Song Lyrics

Lurking in the dismal fog
Hungry for your blood
Seeking harmless victims
Satisfy my needs

Schizophrenic lunatic
Uncontrolled desire
Rape and ravage lady fair
Pledged to die

(Chorus)
No apparent motive
Just kill and kill again
Survive my brutal thrashing
I'll hunt you till the end
My life's a constant battle
The rage of many men
Homicidal maniac...

Trapped in mortal solitude
Lift the gleaming blade
Slice her flesh to shreds
Watch the blood flow free

Hatred growing stronger
None survive my wrath
Suffer from the throbbing pain
Yield your life to me

(Chorus)

(Lead - Hanneman, King, Hanneman, King)

Kill the preacher's only son
Watch the infant die
Bodily dismemberment
Drink the purest blood
Unrelenting need to kill
Death upon you now
Anxiously awaiting
Next in line.

[Chorus]

KILL AGAIN

RE: Favorite Song Lyrics
Hands down my favorite band, and one of my favorites by them as well. I will never not love them.

It's hard to come to terms
that things can't be taught but be learned,
like feeling when you question reason.
The ceiling came down this season.

Keep this a secret:
I hope we never make it past our town.
Forever living with a frown.

I feel like I should be concerned
that things can't be saved once they're burned,
but for once I threw it in the furnace.
I watched it burn right between us.

Keep this a secret:
I hope we never make it past our town.
Forever living with a frown.

And all along,
all I ever wanted was someone to tell me I'm wrong.
You're wrong.
I'm gone.

RE: Favorite Song Lyrics
*I couldn't just pick and choose lyrics from this song because it all just fits*

"Last Night"

"I'm still frustrated from last night
Things happened in half-time, I'm sick of the bends
My panic research was no help
I sink into myself
Afraid of the fall that never ends
I wait, but I'm too tired to play pretend
I'll suffocate until the end

No time for halfhearted goodbyes,
I turn on the spotlight and flee from the scene
Cheap flights from Paris to Bangkok, I thought it was nonstop
Can't sleep on the KLM again
I haunt the halls of medicine at night
Choking back the urge to fight

Her cat was clawing the floorboards just outside of our door,
The panic begins
I searched the whole damn apartment from ceiling to carpet
No sign of the things she used to own
As autumn turns its back on me again
I climb the walls for oxygen

My body aches, it heaves, it shakes
All somersaults through so-called art
And I still don't know exactly who I am
I never will, amen.

She whispers something in my ear, the message is unclear
She motions outside.
I trail her closely from behind
She tries hard not to cry
She shakes underneath the pouring rain

I can't compete with all your damn ideas
This isn't working out for you or me
The truth is I'm too tired to play pretend
This is goodbye, this is the end.

These words describe me just about every morning. Drinking Beverage

"My eyelids said 4:30
But the radio clock said 6:00
And I was thinking of a reasonable excuse"

"It's a small world and it smells bad
I'd buy another if I had
Back...what I paid
For another motherfucker in a motorcade"

-The Sisters of Mercy Vision Thing

"And the devil in a black dress watches over
My guardian angel walks away
Life is short and love is always over in the morning
Black wind come carry me far away"

-The Sisters of Mercy Temple of Love

"Memories may last for years but
Names are just for souvenirs
Some kind of angel let me
Look into your eyes
Don't give me whys and wherefores
Reason or surprise
I don't care for words that don't belong
And I don't care what you're called
Tell me later if at all
I can wait a long long time
Before I hear another love song"

Wow! Haven't heard from another listener of Sisters of Mercy in ages! I have fond memories riding around with friends listening to Black Planet. Also, later, The Mission - God's Own Medicine. Good times.

"I'd be shot and killed if I played this song in Detroit
Because there's a city ordinance that says you gotta say nice things about Detroit
So I think I'll move away and be en route
To a safer destination like Beirut"

RE: Favorite Song Lyrics
Doing this completely from memory... the hook from Hook (Blues Traveler):

Suck it in, suck it in, suck it in, if you're Rinn Tinn Tinn or Anne Boleyn. Make a desperate move or else, you’ll win, and then begin to see what you’re doing to me; this MTV is not for free, it’s so PC it’s killing me, so desperately I sing to thee: Of LOVE! Sure, but also rage, and hate, and pain, and fear of self; I can’t keep these feeling on the self. I’ve tried. Well, no, in fact, I lied. Could this be financial suicide? But, I’ve got too much pride inside to hide, or slide. I’ll do as I decided, and let it ride until I’ve died; and only then shall I abide this tide, of catchy little tunes – of hip, three minute ditties. I want to bust all of your balloons. I want to burn all of your cities to the ground; I’ve found; I will not mess around, unless I play – then hey – I’ll go on all day. Hear what I say, I have a prayer to pray. That’s really all this was. When I’m feeling stuck and need a buck, I don’t rely on luck. Because the hook brings you back. I ain’t telling you no lie.

"A dozen contraceptive sponges
Anyone here got a rhyme for sponges?
Dental floss, baby powder
Fourteen cans of clam chowder.
I forgot how much you liked that stuff
Sex and clams, you couldn't get enough!
Your driver's license '79
These are some of the things you left behind..."
