Favorite fall recipes?
Tis the season to start throwing pumpkin in everything.

What are some of your favorite fall dishes? Starters, mains, sides, desserts, anything!

Was 107 here today...the only thing that sounded good enough to eat was sherbet.

Ask me again in about 2 months.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Holy shit. I don't think it got above 75 today, but we had a chilly wind.

I usually go for stews or roasts that just slide into the oven and cook there for a few hours. Smile

Soups too...but they don't take anytime, unless I make my own chicken stock.

But fall is the time for that too. Smile

I always look forward to artichokes.

I don't bake a lot of stuff in fall -- that's my winter hobby.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

I love warm cinnamon apples. I buy green apples, remove the skin, and put a little butter, cinnamon and brown sugar mixed over the apples, then bake until softened. Add some granola crunch on top. Hmmm! So good.

I also love chili and once the fall hits, Starbucks has a yummy pumpkin spice latte. Yum!

I'm anxious for fall to arrive, now. Big Grin

Forgot about stews! Mmm

I also roast pumpkin and make homemade pumpkin soups and pies.

If you get a moderately large pumpkin, you can fit a baby inside to roast.

Sounds delicious!!!

I'm doing crock pot apple crisp tomorrow, which is pretty much the same thing, just in a crock pot. Loooove all the Apple foods around this time of year.

RE: Favorite fall recipes?
Fall? Is that one of those imaginary seasons I keep hearing about? In Alberta (at least the part I'm in) there's only short extremely hot summers and long deathly cold winters.
Recipes for me consists of soup and sandwiches with beer in the summer and heavy hot foods with rum in the winter.
Very cultured I am. Smile
