Even if it doesn't work I'd be pretty happy with a nice mentos surprise after my glass of refreshing cola.

It only works with Diet Coke... Undecided

The neighbor had two male peacocks. Sad pretty boys with no girls to court. They courted our chickens, geese, and had a love affair with the 1960 beetle in the carport.
We'd go honk the beetle horn and they would always reply. Then we'd find them roosting on it all forlorn. The animal kingdom got the last laugh, a peacock poop can run from the roof of a beetle all the way to the ground. Yuck!

Forget it, I'll just put homemade napalm on the handle of the glass.

There has to be a way to make it work. I'm gonna do some experimentation.

Coat the Mentos in ice. The ice melts quickly in a drink, exposing the candy.

Wouldn't the rough coating of the mentos just get dissolved by the melting ice, thus ruining the reaction?

Edit: Yes, yes it would.

Maybe if I make two hollowed out ice cube halves, put the Mentos inside, then use a small amount of additional water applied to the outside to freeze the two halves together...
