Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

Okay, now I'm wondering what the real flavor is. This will keep me up nights.

黑木耳露, nearest translation I get is black fungus juice. It seems to be some kind of Taiwanese health fad.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

Dude, I feel so guilty every time I go there, but http://www.engrish.com is my favorite website for a guaranteed "belly laugh like an amused toddler" response.

These kinds of sayings always remind me of this Terry Pratchett quote, it's not really funny but I've always loved it:

Just discovered Terry Pratchett! Dig that dry humor! Love both books I've read (Going Postal and Thud!). Snuff is up next.

Oooh you have good taste, the first book I read of his that I loved was Good Omens when I was in high school, it was co-written by one of my other faves, Neil Gaiman so it was just a great mix and a story about religious characters that doesn't take itself too seriously, I highly recommend it and American Gods by Neil.
