Favourite Sci-Fi movie?
For those who like a good science fiction movie, what is your favourite?

Alien? Star Wars? Blade Runner?

Mine is The Fifth Element Smile

Star Wars, no contest. If Star Wars is not your answer then you are dead to me Tongue

Galaxy Quest is my favourite. It's a fun piss-take of a popular long-running TV franchise.

Galaxy Quest is an awesome movie! I haven't seen it in a very long time, but the concept alone is hilarious. That reminds me....I must buy it!

Impossible to pick one.

'Village of the damned', 'The thing', 'Event horizon' - spring to mind.

Event Horizon is hugely underrated, or at least I think so. It's a cracking movie, with some batshit stuff going on in the final act. A lot of people I know haven't even heard of it let alone seen it hah.

The Thing is also fantastic. Something I always say is that practical effects make things 100% scarier. That bit with the dog....Gasp

My favorites are Avatar for the beautiful animation and Back to the Future for the humor.

Close! Wink

Aliens Big Grin

Whether it's an action flick, or a horror flick like Alien, both take place in a universe of Science Fiction! Shy But there are a lot of movies tied for a very close second place. Empire Strikes Back, Wrath Of Khan, The Predator, etc etc. Blade Runner is a good one, too.

But Aliens is my fave of ALL time. Xenomorphs are just too bad ass! Evil_monster

Each has it's own appeal.
In that kind of movie, it is hard to beat The 5th Element, I agree.
Blade Runner was one of a kind.
Aliens because "game over man" < tip of the hat>
