I am not accountable to any God. I am accountable to myself - and not because I think I am God as some theists would try to assert - but because, no matter what actions I take, thoughts I think, or words I utter, I have to be able to live with myself.

A True Nerd™ would have known that

Actually, it's more than that. Given that Disney owns both Marvel and Star Wars, the rights to the Star Wars comics were taken back from Dark Horse comics, and all Star Wars comics going forward will be printed under Marvel. So yeah, in a way, it is Marvel comics as well. DC is of course owned by Warner Brothers, giving them control over Batman and Wonder Woman. However the classic Dracula and Frankenstein movie monsters (At least in those iterations of them) are owned by Universal Pictures.

So it's not just DC or Marvel; it's really Disney, Universal (NBC Universal), and Warner Brothers (AOL Time-Warner).
