I am not accountable to any God. I am accountable to myself - and not because I think I am God as some theists would try to assert - but because, no matter what actions I take, thoughts I think, or words I utter, I have to be able to live with myself.

All they have is hearing people talk about the book report.

Crib notes of crib notes. In all fairness, it's not like the actual book is all that accessible, easy to read, or relevant in this day and age. It's easier to spin a narrative from the crib notes than from the book. The book has too many contradictions.

Better hot or cold than lukewarm?

Uh, wouldn't being an atheist be being cold? Wouldn't lukewarm be agnostics?

I'm failing to see how that is some sort of anti-atheist zinger.

I think he was paraphrasing Jesus? The part that got me was the part about how we need to radicalize the youth.

But they want to teach "science" out of it, they want to set the rules for our courts and our private lives by it, and they want to do anything it takes to avoid having to read all that stupid shit.
