Yay, Ted Cruz in a rock band.

You have just given me a new favorite conspiracy theory. Ted Cruz is secretly part of the Christian hair metal band Stryper. Shocking And he's browsing porn on his Twitter in between trying to take away the health care of millions and playing to the handful of churches that still remember his band exists.

Need to think of a witty signature.

Can you explain how he is trying to take away millions of peoples healthcare? I get healthcare through my employer. My healthcare for once is not in any danger. I also will not be paying a fine for not having healthcare. As far as I know, the system is now working. Before someone says that I should suffer and pay a fine and not have healthcare for myself, so some poor person can have it. I have to ask. Who are you, mother Theresa? She was all about certain people suffering, so she and others could live the life of the filthy stinking rich. I am not about suffering for others if it gets me nothing.

You see snowflake, there are these other humans out there. We like to call them "other people". The "other people" have different experiences than you do since by definition, they are "other people". These "other people" have a diverse set of needs and they are likely different than yours. So in the interests of a healthy society, we need to take care of these "other people" who may be in a situation where they need assistance.

Now this brings us to congressman Michael Sweet Ted Cruz. Mr. Sweet Cruz doesn't seem to care for these "other people" and has supported legislation that, by all reports and his own words, will roll back programs that insure several million Americans (that is the "other people" to you). My dentist was one of these "other people" that the Stryper frontman seems to have it out for.

I recommend that you learn more about the "other people" in the world as there are WAY more of them than you.

So the TL/DR is unlike the sun, the world doesn't revolve around you.

Edit: And no, Shai is no mother Theresa, thankfully. He isn't a lying asshat of a human being who, under the guise of charity, increased the suffering of countless people in an effort to convert them to his way of thinking while embezzling money from despots and thieves. Shai is a theist, but I have never read any post of his that said that pain and suffering is a good thing, which is better than one can say about the Ghoul of Calcutta.

Your health care is still in danger, because employer provided ones would be at risk as well, or was in a previous version of the once again dead health care bill. Even if it technically wasn't, take for instance, my own healthcare through my employer. It's provided via an Employee Trust Fund... every major health care provider in the nation pulled out of my part of my state through our ETF. Every state employee in this part of the state has to re-enroll in one of two plans that have been changed (and dramatically worse than current) and will be offered next year, in no small part due to GOP shenanigans regarding forcing state employees to possibly go self-insured.

Also if you fail to grasp how a healthy populace helps society out, or why basic human empathy exists, I feel like that's more your issue unfortunately. Sad Very reminiscent of an Evangelical youth minister I know.

This sadly isn't real, but it is hilarious:

They sure do look similar...have we ever seen Senator Cruz and Mr. Sweet in the same place at the same time? After all, they both do throw Bibles at people's heads...(Sweet literally with tossing Stryper Bibles out at concerts; Cruz figuratively).

You have me wrong. Maybe not all wrong, but still wrong. I am not against these other people having healthcare, especially if they have jobs. It is that Obama tried to have people that could not get it for themselves, pay for those that don't work. Thus increasing suffering on some, to pay the way for others.
