Maybe we finally start using real shit, which would be a good thing.

That requires investing in an alternative beforehand, which the American government has a really shitty track record on.

I mean shit, human manure. Good substitute of the controversial kno3 and other ammonium derivates.

Check up on your biochemistry. The cycle isn't efficient enough, and the natural replenishment rate not fast enough, to make recycling nutrients via human fertilizer viable as a full solution. Even if we include all animal waste. We need at least some (by some I mean lots of) Haber Process nitrogen and mined phosphates to close the cycle and feed everyone, especially with population growth.

Not to say manure wouldn't be a bad idea, it would reduce the rate of depletion of minable phosphate. But unless population drops to below 2 billion, we will need at least some artificial fertilizer.

Why the fuck are you saying to ban fertiliser because of this? That's like saying we should ban cars because there was a car crash. Idiot

No, I basically got sick of the place for a while, I stopped coming on, I accidentally removed the link from my google chrome menu and that was it for a few months.

Probably a reference to those who talk about banning guns after every act of violence used with them... so fertilizer factory blows up, ban fertilizer!

Yeah except fertiliser plants don't normally kill people, but guns do.
