Festivals / parties
So do you people go to any festivals, couple of days of good music and sleeping under the stars? I used to go on Reggae/Dub festivals for years (Seasplash in Pula, Croatia),. but last two years I switched to Psychedelic Trance experience... And my God, it was an experience. This weekend I visited LOST THEORY FESTIVAL, they moved from Belgium to Croatia this year and it was amazing, simply amazing. Unfortunately I was working so I could be there only day and a half, but it was more than enough. One problem occurred, there was no shade, the organizers have chosen some huge site, but they have forgotten about the trees and the shade, so all the people were dieing on the hot summer sun in the middle of Croatia. Only good thing was the river, bur you could not be in the river whole day long... Here is a sample of how the Psy floor looked like...

RE: Festivals / parties
That looks quite nice. Not that I see much of the festival from these videos but people look happy and warm :-)
The last 4 years I haven't been to more than one festival each year and I've been boring just going to the same one as well, Ozora, in Hungary. http://ozorafestival.eu/2011/ It's a really nice place even though I find the music a bit to slow for me (except for the last night when they played full-on the entire night) and there's a lot of people I know who have been going there every year. I would like to go to a nice festival in Croatia though, I love the country and I could stop by some of my relatives on my way there maybe. I guess I won't be going to any festivals for a while though, I'm gonna be a dad next spring so I'll probably be at home for a while ![]() We might save up some of my parental leave and go travelling for a while though, here in Sweden we get 18 months of paid parental leave to split (so I think we'll take 9 moths each) that we can use before the kid is like seven or something. I guess we won't bring a kid to festivals until it's at least a year or two though... we'll just have to see

RE: Festivals / parties
You were on Ozora? Damn, I always wanted to go there, but it's a bit far. Wherever I go, I go with my car, I don't use any other transportation. And then there is crossing the border, all set up for a week on a festival. Bad idea. So I stay inside my own country, where I don't need to cross borders...
![]() Here are some better footage of the festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL6XIkSbbCA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh3XzMH57sQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qLuQIp0t...re=related ![]() I have a theory that the truth is never told during the nine-to-five hours. -Hunter S. Thompson |

RE: Festivals / parties
I think you should go to Ozora, it's well worth it. Sure the border could be a hassle if you look like a hippie (I'm just assuming now
) and have a lot of stuff they want to go through but as long as you're not trying to take anything illegal across the border that would only mean a bit of extra time you get to spend watching border guards work for their paycheck ![]() I'm guessing the Lost Theory Festival isn't very big yet? It looks quite nice there. I'm wondering if the guy who flies the kite also comes to Ozora? I've taken some pictures of him in that case. |

RE: Festivals / parties
Well now, no I do not look like a hippie, but there is a problem about the stuff that always goes with me and I'm not talking about my survival kit with knifes, axes, machetes and similar anti-border equipment... Other stuff...
![]() When I saw that guy on the festival I immediately called him a Guru, he definitely looks like some Guru guy. ![]() I have a theory that the truth is never told during the nine-to-five hours. -Hunter S. Thompson |

If your survival kit includes what I see in your picture I can guarantee that you will be able to re-stock as soon as you reach the festival, if you can survive the long drive there ![]() I think I took pictures of that guy and his kite in at least two of the Ozora-festivals I've been to

RE: Festivals / parties
Hey, I just bought myself 2 new hammocks, one for sleeping, one for sitting and also a new Swiss Army knife, Spartan. My survival pack is getting refurbished...
