I do hope you are going to be okay and that QC and the kids are okay too.

Been missing you for a long time now. Glad to see you around.

Thanks, Angie.

Cliff's Notes Version:

I'm an addict. Been addicted to opiates for 8ish years. Tramadol was my DOC. I would take an average of 2K mg a day (normal dose is 200mg a day). I used my headaches as an excuse for my addiction. I got fired last month due to lack of performance (I was either stoned or in pain). Totally lost my fucking mind and wrote a suicide-ish-y letter. Took off in my car. Stopped answering my phone. Cops caught up with me in MS. Arrested me or a suspended license ($250 misdemeanor... I forgot to pay a ticket). Spent a night in jail in a straight jacket and padded cell. Got shipped to a psych ward for a week. Then spent 30 days in an inpatient facility. Got out today.

Hi, I'm Jeremy, and I'm an addict.

Goddamn drama queen! Geez! Hope to see you continue to make progress, and glad to hear you're clean! Take care of yourself.

Well that's a fuckin twist. Good to see you around my friend. Get well, and welcome back.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Only you did that.

Welcome back. Not the the way I'd hope you have you back here. But I guess it will do.

I hope you're getting a handle of things.

This is how I introduce my best friend, who incidentally is gay, but he might as well be my brother with how close we are.
