First potentially habitable Earth-sized planet confirmed
NASA's Keplar has discovered an Earth Sized Exoplanet orbiting within a habitable zone of another star. They say water in liquid form could exist on the planet. Very fascinating.

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

Cygnus - I'll have to see if I can locate the constellation.
Probably very dim at best.
Wish there was a closer one. Shy

I agree, would be very awesome if we could find a closer one. So far away who knows when and if we will ever be able to explore it.

How many lightyears away?

Or better put:

Is it out of reach or vstly more out of reach than I thought.

490 light-years away, according to a story on it on nbcnews.

Cygnus will be up in the summer for the Northern Hemisphere.

Like a huge crucifix stretching along the Milky Way... You can't miss it.

Its also known as the Northern Cross.

I don't know, it doesn't seem that far to me. Sure, we won't be able to get to it anytime soon, but if there's a sentient species there with a powerful enough radio telescope, they might be able to hear us... in about 400 years.

Nevermind.
