Probably very dim at best.
Wish there was a closer one. Shy

Cygnus will be up in the summer for the Northern Hemisphere.

Like a huge crucifix stretching along the Milky Way... You can't miss it.

Its also known as the Northern Cross.

I wonder if that will be used for an end of the world scenario haha.

I don't know, it doesn't seem that far to me. Sure, we won't be able to get to it anytime soon, but if there's a sentient species there with a powerful enough radio telescope, they might be able to hear us... in about 400 years.

Nevermind.

Haha 400 years isn't that long Tongue

Fascinating. These are interesting times we live in. Just think, in a few years time they hope to launch the James Webb Space Telescope and they may be able to observe such planets in some detail.

It is unfortunate that we can still only detect these exoplanets using the transit technique. I can't help but wonder how many other systems there are, but remain undetectable because we are not aligned with their elliptical plane. Once we have telescopes capable of actually viewing systems this far away, the number of catalogued exoplanets will be...

...(wait for it)...

...astronomical.
