Um, assuming this doesn't include necessary clothing -

1. My computer
2. My Kindle Paperwhite
3. My pillow
4. My childhood photos
5. A box of vaping supplies

RE: Five Possessions
I need context Tongue Are we talking about, like, moving to another city and I can only keep 5 possessions due to luggage limits, or are we talking about scrambling out of the house in a hurry to run from zombies?

Since I didn't specify--either/or...or both. Although knowing you, would it really make that much of a difference? Laugh out load

I know what you're thinking, and even I didn't bring my guns with when I moved to Japan or China, for example. I'm just trying to differentiate between a casual move and disappearing into the woods Tongue

For a casual move: laptop, bicycle, boots, porn, lube

For disappearing into the wilderness: gun, ammo, tomahawk, boots, ruck sack. I guess I'll have to then fill up the sack as I go Tongue

RE: Five Possessions
I'm tempted to move this from The Casual Coffeehouse and into the Philosophy section. For me, it's very much about identity.

Like Yak, I've already put some thought into this and from a fillassoffikal perspective I'm with Lennon not Locke:

"Imagine no possessions" vs. "Life, liberty and the pursuit of property."

So, this list is a combination of my actual decisions regarding what I will own and what has survived the various relocations over the years and flood damage (meaning that many of my memory-treasures were lost around 3 years ago)

1. Access to Personal Data
2. Access to Knowledge
3. Wallet
4. Passport
5. The Clothes I'm Wearing
6. Works of Shakespeare
7. Snooker Case/Cues

Currently, I own more (mainly books and clothes and some rather nice kitchen stuff (knives etc.)) which would come with me when I next change apartment locally but if I relocate to another country, I can get that lot down to two suitcases.

6. & 7. should probably go but they are my ... Ayra's Needle.

Yes

I've got an oh shit pack in my closet ready to go. I could be out of here in a matter of seconds if I had to be. It's got a lot more than 5 items, though.

And I assumed a few things were automatic. Like clothes, for example. If this is not the case, then poor Jenny will be sitting on her mat doing yoga naked except for hiking boots and a necklace. And I won't be much better off free balling around my new neighborhood on my bicycle.
