How did I miss this thread???

After having spent 10 months in hospital, here are my choices.

1. Underwear.
2. Underwear.
3. Underwear.
4, Underwear.
5. Underwear.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

RE: Five Possessions
I would be absolutely screwed in this scenario. My most precious possessions are my books and CDs, and I have literally thousands of both. Trying to choose only 5 to keep would be excruciating. And the CDs would be useless anyway without some sort of player. I would certainly keep a "Works of Shakespeare" volume, but after that, it would be an impossible choice of 4 out of all the rest.

Other than books and CDs, I'm not all that attached to any of my possessions. I could survive as a homeless person (in a warm city -- certainly not here in Wisconsin), as long as I had some books and could get food.

That's why I choose my social security card. I can get into the library after hours with it. That's a warm place to stay and some good entertainment too. It also have power to recharge my phone.

RE: Five Possessions
1. My hubby ( and I DO possess him Evil_monster )
2. My two old cats
3. A sweetheart bracelet from 1929 that belonged to my real grandmother. ( It's the only thing I have that belonged to her and I don't know anything more about her. Sadcryface )

It looks almost exactly like this but with different initials on it:

4. My laptop
5. My phone with photos of my two kids.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

That depends ... which one's easier to clean?

ETA: You gotta love the redneck misspelling on the goat packaging.

RE: Five Possessions
Gracious. I've got possessions in 4 airplane hangars and an over-full house. Can't do five, it'd have to be fifty or one. So go with one - the contents of my RAID. I could lose everything but if the RAID were intact I'd be OK. And if an apocalypse made the RAID unusable until the infrastructure to carry it got rebuilt, nothing else I'd lost couldn't be re-acquired. Sentimental irreplaceable items (photos and assorted "souvenirs" from life's escapades) would no longer matter making a new life post-apocalypse - plus toting them around would probably slow me down making that new life.

If fifty were possible - I won't bore you. The same list everybody has: the irreplaceable items whose value is valueless to all but the possessor. The RAID, on the other hand - if THAT got lost and no backup - ouch!!!! I might head for a tall bridge if that happened.
