RE: For all the Star Trek fans out there.
Though when TNG first came on I was the first to say, "Who's this bald guy on the bridge?!" But I have grown to love Captain Picard. I like Janeway as well, and Kirk, though indeed a sexist pig, is just classic. But Picard will always be my favourite. He's diplomatic but not a doormat, he loves reading and archaeology and learning stuff and being smart (too many folks nowadays love the opposite: being dumb), he has an awesome English accent (though he's a Frenchman... always found that odd Wink ), he presents this image of an older, mature fellow who doesn't just shoot freakin' everybody he doesn't like the look of, he likes tea, and ... okay, I somehow go for the nearly baldness thing. I don't understand it myself. Oh, and he doesn't like/get kids, which I can totally identify with.

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2
614C → 714N + e + ̅νe
2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

I got an introduction to Picard last week. The hotel TV was showing back-to-back Trek.

A couple of movies (can't remember the titles, something like Resurrection and Nematode) had Picard and loads of other new characters.

My attention wavered, I think, because unlike the real characters, I didn't know their back-stories.

The baddies were good though (if you know what I mean).

The oddest thing was seeing someone who I recall quite vividly as a Shakespearean actor (can't remember if it was Macbeth or Hamlet) in a Trek uniform. Good acting from Mr Stewart, as ever. I remember him best as Carla in Tinker, Tailor... him and Alec Guinness... tense stuff.

My husband asked who the bald dude was too, then he saw a klingon and turned it off...LMAO. I was hooked from Encounter at Farpoint. Loved the show and everything about the Nxt Gen. Well except for the movie Insurrection which was just ok.
