RE: For those who think God condones murder for his sadistic pleasure.
I'm pretty sure no one said it was for God's sadistic pleasure.

What we're saying is that the Bronze Age, Canaanite tribal sheepherder-warrior-priest group called the Hebrews made up excuses to enforce their religious views and justify genocide of neighbors sitting on "their" land. One of their excuses was, "Well, God says to..."

That's why we list the "God says to _________" barbarity. Any real worshipper of God should be ashamed to think their deity actually condones this stuff, but because you're actually Bible-worshippers, not God-worshippers, you're married to the horrible shit it says.

It's only the fact that you fantasize about God being real that makes you think WE think God wants/desires anything. It's plain as day that this God the Bible speaks of is a psychological projection of mankind, still in our evolutionary infancy, in terms of humanist morality. Luckily, since then, the Enlightenment happened.

And only the religionists are pushing back against the values we derived from the Enlightenment-era thoughts, when people looked around and went, "wait, maybe we should think for ourselves!", and that led to thoughts like, "Wait, maybe we shouldn't own other humans", eventually, and "Wait, maybe women are people, too." Et cetera.

By that light, your "God" (as invented by the above-mentioned Bronze-Age priests) is a monster, whether or not he derives pleasure from the suffering of mankind, because the Wholly Babble says these immoral things are things He Desires, and even commands! See JDog's handy short list, above.

"Theology made no provision for evolution. The biblical authors had missed the most important revelation of all! Could it be that they were not really privy to the thoughts of God?" - E. O. Wilson

I wonder how deep god had his wrists buried in his own ass as he sat idly by and watched millions of "his chosen people" get marched into the nazi ovens for genocide? I am sure they must have been uttering quite a few urgent and heart felt prayers on their behalf...all of those people, children, babies, nope, god isnt interested in answering the prayers of his "chosen people"...too busy teaching them a lesson as all good parents do....

The same god who sits back idly cleaning his fingernails while watching millions starve to death every year.....ah....a caring god, so glad he doesnt exist, for if he did, he is a piece of shit and he would have no excuse for his behavior, or lack of actions....but hey.....remember the important things like "covet not thy neighbor"...."worship no other gods before me"....yeah.

Oh? Which god? If everything had to be created, then what created god?

Let’s take a look at Psalms 82.1:

New International Version
A psalm of Asaph. God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the "gods":

New Living Translation
A psalm of Asaph. God presides over heaven's court; he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:

English Standard Version
A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:

New American Standard Bible
A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers.

King James Bible
A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

Holman Christian Standard Bible
A psalm of Asaph. God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods:"

International Standard Version
God takes his stand in the divine assembly; among the divine beings he renders judgment:

NET Bible
A psalm of Asaph. God stands in the assembly of El; in the midst of the gods he renders judgment.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
God stands in the assembly of the Angels and among the Angels he will judge.

GOD'S WORD Translation
[A psalm by Asaph.] God takes his place in his own assembly. He pronounces judgment among the gods:

Jubilee Bible 2000
God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.

King James 2000 Bible
God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.

American King James Version
God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.

American Standard Version
God standeth in the congregation of God; He judgeth among the gods.

Douay-Rheims Bible
A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.

Darby Bible Translation
{A Psalm of Asaph.} God standeth in the assembly of God, he judgeth among the gods.

English Revised Version
A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of God; he judgeth among the gods.

Webster's Bible Translation
A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

World English Bible
God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.

Young's Literal Translation
-- A Psalm of Asaph. God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge.

Notice the vast majority are in line with the KJV, some others have taken creative license to change the word gods (plural) to "angels", "divine beings" or "rulers" lol......yeah. The oldest version on this list I believe is the Douay-Rheims, which *gasp* says the same thing as the KJV. Now, you can tear down each of these versions one way or another and identify translation errors (speaking of translation errors only, as all bibles can be easily and systematically debunked) , because that is now widely known among biblical scholars. Read your bible, actually read it, think, evolve beyond the myth.

Our fate has been left to us. All evil is a direct result of human thought and action. It is up to us to realize this and act on it.

Or we could ignore that concept and live on without this proclaimed acknowledgement of Evil and realize there is no strong rational means to accepting it.

You mean Odin?
Odin is mixed with sorcery. This can lead astray. He is often times considered one of many deities in some pagan belief systems. These two things are contradictory to one God of obvious truth, and therefore the one all encompassing God shouldn't really be refered to as Odin.

I guess if you really thought the one all encompassing God is named Odin then it wouldn't really matter as long as you don't veer from the true path due to the name you choose to call God.
