...if anyone cares, I'd like it to be an arbutus tree if possible.

Not Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica?

That certainly would make for one epic final hoot. Consider

I quite like the idea of my descendants sitting under a tree that is essentially 'me', though I think I'll probably donate my body to the UT Forensics Anthropology Center. I (hopefully) have plenty of time to think about it any how.

There's another thing you can do that's interesting. You can have your ashes turned into a diamond.

Yeah, we'd be better off choosing a paperbark or some other fire-resistant tree.

I'm just waiting for someone in 20 years to cut the tree down, pull out the stump, find the few remaining bones, and call the cops.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

I also heard about someone who went for an Indian burial in which the body is laid out atop of some wooden scaffolding and the buzzards clean you up. It was on NPR and I got in on the last of the conversation but the problem is that there can't be dead bodies all over the place up on scaffolding. Ick.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I have been seriously thinking about signing up for leaving my body to medical research. Maybe it would help them figure out something with regard to breast cancer.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Giving your body "to medicine" usually means "dead bodies for trainee doctors to practice on", I think. These are some more specific uses you can will your body to but if you feel strongly about it you should do you research now. In order for bodies to be put to medical use they usually need to be picked up within a short time after death, so decisions have to be in place before death.

I wanna be buried under an apple tree in a park or something. I'll die with the knowledge that children will unknowingly consume my remains.

I remember seeing another option. There was a company that would take your ashes and mix them into concrete, then use that concrete to construct a piece of artificial reef that they'd then place in the ocean so that you could help rebuild endangered underwater habitat. I always thought that was a neat idea.

Put me in a rocket pod with this song playing on repeat inside..

.... And fire me towards the sun.

I wont be there to appreciate it, I just think its a neat way to be remembered by the people I leave behind Drinking Beverage

I feel so much, and yet I feel nothing.
I am a rock, I am the sky, the birds and the trees and everything beyond.
I am the wind, in the fields in which I roar. I am the water, in which I drown.
