Forum terminology questions
I notice people have star ratings associated with their screen name. I also notice a category for 'reputation' - mine is 0, and a category for 'warning level'. What do these things mean?

The stars have to do your status on the forum. Seth has the most, then admins and so on. Veteran users and people who donate get more stars.

When you gather more posts your stars increase. Slowly tho. Smile

The rep, is how other members perceive you. Most members can give one rep point (unless they're in the negative range). If you like someone or what they say you can give them a rep point.

And the warning level is because there's a percentage based warning system coded into the software that the forum runs on, we don't use it though.

Oh I forgot about that one. Smile thanks kind sir.

Oh gosh tho, I'd love to be able to "warn" you. Tongue

Just for fun.

This is so unfair, I was gonna 'warn' you for a laugh but apparently there's no option for me to do so. Sadcryface

Perhaps this calls for a trip into the Admin CP. Consider Evil_monster

Some people can give more rep points- how do you get the opportunity to give out more?
Is there a limit to what you can give in a day? There have been times that I tried to rep a handful of people in a day and I was limited in how many people I could rep at one time.

can someone explain those two? I haven't been able to find the answer.

Regular members can give out +/- 1
Veterans/Ex-Staff can give out +/- 2
Mods can give out +/- 3
Super-Mods can give out +/- 4
Admins can give out +/- 5

I think the limit for giving reps in a day is something like 3 or 5 for regular members.
