Well, it's as simple as the fact that they need to be offered different points of view. Being taught one way of thinking from birth isn't productive no matter what theological background. I'm just going to have to work with my wife to meet in the middle somewhere.

It's scary that your 4 year old is already defying your teachings due to his religious indoctrination...If it was me, I'd immediately take him out of the school and immediately stop the teachings he's recieving....Not because they are bad teachings, but because they are teaching him to ignore you.

I can understand your concern regarding the letter from the school. Why would a child have to confess? Confess what? I too would be upset if someone was trying to instill fear in my children, in the name of God. Has your wife read the bible, front to back to learn what it's really saying? I suspect not. And I'd bet money that neither has her family or church friends. You are one half of your marriage. Do you not think you should have some say in this issue? If she has such little respect for your wishes, perhaps she'd be happier if you weren't in the picture.

I went to a baptist school k-5. Yes they were always trying to get me to "accept" jebus. I was desperate to get their approval or like me or something...

But I just couldn't stand up in front of everyone and lie.

My dad pulled me out of the school when they told him that I should repeat the 5th grade because I was getting an F in bible study.

All my other grades were fine...except math where I was getting a C.
