RE: Free will vs Determinism
The issue here is individual choice and what it really is.
We do choose things as individuals, but we are also influenced heavily by society around us. Example: I am choosing what to type right now, however I didn't choose this to be my language or slang when growing up, these are all features that I had no choice in being influenced by. Determinism and free will both have contradictions and lack a complete picture of how humans interact with the world around them. If I choose 4 kinds of drinks for you to drink, then you choose out of the 4 which one you want to drink, is that a "free" choice? |

RE: Free will vs Determinism
I think free will is just another unproven assumption to show that people are somehow superior to animals. We like thinking we re something special. Many people even think the whole universe was created for them.
