When reading Dom's post on rituals, I decided to check up on the dictionary through google what it meant.

In the search suggestions, it went from showing several versions to the word ritual, to then, when going back to it give me suggestions of local nightclubs where I'm at.

WTF?!

I tried re-typing things to see if the original suggestions would come up. No. It's dead-set on location.

I really hate google and how it doesn't present information of what I am searching, but rather something it thinks I want. I'm missing out on a helluva lot of stuff.

Anybody know a way to counteract google's suggestions? I've tried some things, but it seems dead set of 'fixing' itself. So far I have removed tracking from google, but it's still going through my IP. Admittedly, I don't know what else to do. My favorite distraction is that of learning. Not going to some stupid nightclub.

Doesn't "do not use personal results" work?

Perhaps it's a sign? Perhaps Google wants you to go out to more nightclubs and party more?

There's a thingamajig that looks like a gear wheel in the upper right corner, choose search settings and it's there, at the bottom.

Also, I think there used to be a way of turning geolocation off, but they may have it fucked up, again (I hate google too). Not sure if it'll work if you turn it off in your browser.

Nothing I haven't done before. Thanks, though for your ideas. Google is still tracking me and fucking up search results!
