Fun with Math
Spot the fallacy.

1) Let a=b.
2) a^2=ab
3) a^2 + a^2 = a^2 + ab
4) 2a^2 = a^2 + ab
5) 2a^2 - 2ab = a^2 + ab - 2ab
6) 2a^2 - 2ab = a^2 - ab
7) 2(a^2 - ab) = a^2 - ab
8) 2(a^2 - ab)/(a^2 - ab)=(a^2-ab)/(a^2-ab)
9) 2 = 1 QED

a^2 - ab = 0. You can't divide by 0 silly.

Answer is...
Can't divide by zero, failed at step 8. If you could then you would end up with with proofs like 999*0 = 22*0 therefore 999 = 22.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.
