RE: Game of Thrones season premiere.
Ok, I have read the books (more than once each), and that was still a gut wrenching episode to watch. Cat's pleading at the end had me crying, and Grey Wind!! And poor Arya, so lucky and unlucky at the same time.

No other reactions here?

I am only part way through book three....last night's episode had me slack-jawed.

Macabre Spoiler:

Talisa getting stabbed was probably the biggest shock for me... Partly because that was when the massacre started, partly because a pregnant woman getting stabbed repeatedly in the stomach is not nice...

Agreed. Although it's a fairly big deviation from the book where Robb's wife is left behind because they don't entirely trust the Freys to not pull a stunt like this.

And Lord Frey amply demonstrated what a jerkwad he is when Catelyn had the knife at his young wife's throat- "I'll get another one." FYI that's another slight deviation from the book.

Why is this thread still in the Movies forum? Consider

Talisa getting stabbed cleans up the story, though. In the books the readers are left to speculate if his wife will become impotant later. I guess this answers that question.

As for Cat taking the wife out with her, it made it more emotional and made more sense than the jester in the book, for me anyway. I could have cared less about the jester, but the poor girl...unlucky enough to be married to that old SoB.

Am I the only one who doesn't give a flying fuck about their death? Mr Flitch FTW.

Infact, I backtracked to the scene and played this in the backround:

Okay, who thinks Joffrey's gonna bite it in Episode 10?
