I live in the city. Is my attempt tonight just a waste of time?

You will see only the brightest of them, probably not many. Can you get out to the country?

Meteor shower party at my place! Fire pit is on the opposite side of the house, so we can even have a nice warm fire and still avoid the light pollution!

This is exactly what happened last time I wanted to watch a meteor shower. My mother, my eldest brother and me went out of town and wandered upon a nearby hill and waited about two hours in the freakin' cold until we returned back home. I was hoping that the clouds would piss off eventually, but that wish didn't come true.
