Only an uninformed atheist would question this. Sir Isaac Newton, the leading expert in ancient texts of his day said no other compared to the Bible.

I'm not claiming the Bible is not historically significant. It's my career, I obviously think it's important. I think you're missing my point.

How did I do that?

Lack of source attribution for one. Using a fucked-up source, for another.

Isn't being dishonest a no-no when you claim to be Christian? Or did I miss a memo?

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy

@Cufflink:

I get kinda tired of hearing the same fundamentalist arguments over and over again. I try to avoid it these days.

I'm not totally sold on the preterite. John Cook has a good discussion here that addresses Seow's comments.

Thanks. Looks very interesting. I'll go over it carefully as soon as I have time.

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.

What source? And anyway, a fucked up source? The way you people use wiki there is no way in hell you can make that accusation.

Composition clearly indicates a c&p job. And I don't know who the fuck "you people" are. I don't quote shit without attribution. Tongue

I was originally going to say the OP's idea sounded an awful lot like what I remember back from my JW days.
And now I know why... Tongue

Everything I write on the Bible sounds like JW. I believe almost exactly as they do, I use many of the same references and their refernce Bible foremost.
